CAN I GO ON SINNING BECAUSE OF GRACE?

This is a question young men and women asked me on daily basis. And the best answer I always give them is NO! Hear me out,  It is true that grace brings freedom and that includes the freedom to make poor choices, but if you use your freedom to enslave yourself to sin, then you have missed the point of grace: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Gal 5:1) The purpose of grace is to liberate the prisoner and give life to the dead. Grace is also good news for the poor (Luk 4:18-19). So if you use grace to enslave or impoverish yourself by making dumb decisions and indulging the flesh, you are setting aside grace. You are not using it for its intended purpose. Grace liberates, but if you use your freedom to enslave yourself, what was the point? You are no better off than when you started. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more a...

GOD IS NOT IN CONTROL, YOU ARE.

I have heard people say “God is in control. It’s his fault, not my fault.” Understand that I didn’t write this to condemn any one – we’re all learning here – but to make you know that you are in control and to make you angry at Satan’s lies. JESUSE said, "I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven ( He already did): and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Verily I say unto you, what things soever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and what things soever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." ( Matt 16: 19, 18:18) So, you see? Everything lies in your hands. God has no say if you have no say. Whatever you bind, He binds. If you fail  to take charge of the affairs of your life and to put things in order, God will not come down to do it for. Understand that you are the commander and whatever you command i...

THE PURPOSE OF THE BIBLE.

The purpose of the Bible is not to serve as a book of rules and regulations, ethical guidelines fixed in the concrete of moralistic legalism. The Bible is not an ethics book. The Bible is not a textbook of proof-texts to defend Christian doctrine as it has been systematized by man. You can attempt to prove almost anything from the Bible. (I recall one individual who maintained that it was wrong to peel a banana on the basis of the reading "whatsoever God has put together, let no man part asunder.") The Bible is not a law or logic textbook to prove one's point. It is not atextbook of theological trivia. The Bible is not a sociological textbook that settles the institutional church into the conservatism of the status-quo. The Bible is not an encyclopedic text that gives every answer to every question on every subject in the universe. This is not the purpose ofthe Bible. What Then Is The Purpose Of Ohe Bible? The purpose of the Bible is to bear witness to Jesus Christ, wh...

THE PARABLE OF THE TEN VIRGINS

Image
The other day He went out with his friends for evangelism in a city full of highly deluded and proud people who always boast of their relationship with God in the name of ‘’their father is God’s friend and a righteous man’’. They have no idea what it takes to have right standing with God apart from keeping self-imposed rules and regulations and the believe that they are children of a man God declared as man after His heart. He always speaks in parables when he comes to these people. On one faithful day His friends asked him, ‘’why do you use parable when you talk to the people’’? and He said unto them ‘’the knowledge about the hidden treasures of the Kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. The reason I use parables in talking to them is that they look, but do not see, and they listen, but do not hear or understand’’. ‘’Wait a time Albright, is like you’re talking about Je...

THE INFORMATIONS YOU SUBJECT YOUR MIND TO CAN BUILD YOU OR DESTROY YOU.

Image
The world's system, of which satan is lord, operates by selfishness, based on fear. The system of God's kingdom functions through faith in the finished works of Jesus. “...that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Heb 2:14-15) The death of Jesus delivered you from sin, sichkness, family curses, death, and all of Satans works. When, through faith, you set your focus on Jesus, you begin to function in the reality of his finished work. “...For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2) God wants you to focus on Jesus. (Heb 12;2) says "Look onto Jesus, the auther and the perfecter of your faith..", He didn't say look onto yourself...... but the devil wants you to focus on yourself so that he can get hold of you. When you focus on yourself, you see weakness, sickness...

RELIGION PERPETUATE THE LOVE OF GOD.

Paul famously prayed that we would know the measureless love of God, for it’s in knowing His love that we truly live. But about 90% of Christians believe that God is against them because they are unable to keep the rules. In their mind they ask questions like, "how can a just God love a sinner like me?"  So they are struggling to keep the law to over sin for God love Them. They just don't get it that sin is what happens when we try to please God by keeping the rules.  They don't know that God introduced the law so that we might recognize the presence of sin and our need for a saviour. They just can't get it that sin thrives under law so the moment they start trying to live by law-based religion, sin is inflamed (Rms 5:20). They try, they fail, they repent, and they resolve to do better next time. In other words, they make a law for themselves that declares, “I must do better.” By the strength of they resolve they succeed for a time but eventually they fail ...

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS NOT ABOUT KEEPING RULES.

When God was walking on earth in bodily form, the self righteous who were zealous   without knowledge and were preoccupied with keeping rules  as the work of God asked Him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God"?  And He said  unto them, this is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. (John:6:29). Clear, short and simply answer from the created of heaven and earth but the  self righteous were not OK with the answer he gave them. They can't just get it. They natural minds can't comprehend it that believing is the work of God. They are more interested  in trying than trusting. They can't get it that believing is the work of God because the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged. (1 Cor:2:14). These are exactly the picture of what Christianity looks like for many believers today. But this picture is a caric...

STRUGGLING-TRYING OR TRUSTING-RESTING?

I have realised that many Christians are struggling to live the Christian life. You want to do the right thing; you try to do the right thing; yet you often fail to do what you want to do. When the frustration builds you snap and do things you later regret. You have no idea how to fix this sad state of affairs beyond trying harder next time. But no matter how hard you try, you will fail again. Why? Because the Christian life is not difficult to live – it’s impossible to live! Only one Person has lived the Christian life perfectly and it wasn’t you. But the good news is that He lives in you and He is your victory in all those areas where you’re failing. For years we Christians have been told there’s a civil war going on inside – the bad you versus the good you, the sinful nature versus the new nature. This is simply not true according to the Bible. You had a sinful nature but it’s gone: “In him you were also circumcised, in the putting...

WHO IS HEBREW 6:4-8 ADDRESSED TO? BELIEVERS OR UNBELIEVERS?

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. I want to start by saying that, if you wear the lenses of performance-based Christianity, this could be a scary scripture, for it sounds like your salvation hinges on your behavior. Do good, get good, but fall away and you’re lost forever. We need to understand that the book of Hebrews was written to a group of Jewish believers in Christ who were tempted under the threat of pers...

GOD SEES YOU WITHOUT SPOTS NOR WRINKLES.

Jesus tells us His bride, “You are all fair, My love, and there is no spot in you.” What was your reply to Him? “Me? All fair and no spot? You don’t know me, Lord!” But let me ask you, do you really think that God doesn’t know you? God sees reality like no one else sees it. He sees the perfection of His Son’s finished work in you. By one offering of Himself at the cross, Jesus has perfected you forever! (Hebrews 10:14) You have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21) And you will never find any spot in this righteousness that Jesus died to give you. So God wants you to see yourself righteous—all fair and spotless in Christ. Every day, be conscious of your righteousness in Christ. Say, “ I am the righteousness of God in Christ. There is no spot in me whom He has perfected with His blood.” When you do that, you are honoring Jesus and His finished work. If you are conscious of your sins, then yo...

WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR & TREMBLING.

What make us SAVE ( a born again)  is the deposition of the very righteous nature of God; Christ; the Holy spirit in the inside of our being. God therefore first blesses the inside of our being so that it Will break through like seed to the outside. Philemon 6 confirmed this by telling us that " there every good thing in us in Christ" Apostle Paul reinforced this thought in (Php 2:12-13). He says, "WORK OUT your own salvation with FEAR & TREMBLING; for it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure. My problem here is that, most ministers mistake what Paul says as a some sort of secondary approach to salvation. Paul says  "WORK OUT" he didn't say " WORK FOR" What Apostle Paul means was that, salvation is being worked inside of us until it works out of us. Salvation is a breakthrough Truth. Though it begins on the inside as the seed of Christ, it grows until it breaks out so all will see the manifestation of...

WHAT ABOUT "MATTHEW 5:17-18"?

I've been asked on many occasions for my take on the above scripture, so in today's study I want us to see if we can get a clear picture of what brother Jesus  was teaching, Whether He was teaching us to keep the Law and fulfill it or He has come to fulfill it on our behalf. For me not to take much of your time, I will like to make my explanation short but am expecting you to use it as a guide to go back and study chapter 5-7 on your own. "Think not that I am come to destroy the law and the prophets.......but to fulfill it".( verse 17) Now the preceding verses were so opposed to the teachings of the scribes and Pharisees that some might assert that He was a destroyer of the law. He replies that he has not come to destroy it, but to fulfil. He does not say that he has come to perpetuate the law but fulfil it; to complete its purpose. He was the end of the law. The law was a "schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, but "after faith is come we are no longer unde...

YOU'RE GOD'S BELOVED

Do you know that God calls us Beloved too? At the River Jordan the Voice from Heaven said of Jesus, This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Mt 3:17, KJV) Ephesians 1:6 tells us that God has accepted us “in the Beloved” (KJV). This means that God relate to us in the same way that He relates to Jesus. He accepts us, is well pleased with us,  He calls us His beloved sons. Joseph Prince writes about this in his book, Destined to Reign. He notes that in Matthew 3 God says of Jesus, “this is my beloved Son,” but in Matthew 4 the devil says, “If you are the Son of God…” The devil did not remind Jesus that He was the beloved Son of God and neither does he remind us. The devil doesn’t want us to know what God thinks of us because once you know you are beloved, says Prince, everything changes. We rise up against the enemy’s temptations and we stand secure in our God-given identity. Beloved, there is nothing you can do today...

JESUS REMOVES OUR SINFUL NATURE SURGICALLY.

Jesus not only forgives all our sin but He surgically removes our sinful nature (Col 2:11) and gives us a new nature (2 Cor 5:17). Sin no longer dominates us. By His powerful and effective grace we are able to say “no” to sin (Tit 2:12). Because of what Jesus has done, God not only forgives all our sins, He chooses to forget them too. “(Because of the cross) God is no longer counting men’s sins against them” (2 Cor 5:19) “I will forgive their sins and remember their sins no more.” (Hebs 8:12) It is human nature to keep score but the love of God revealed in Jesus keeps no record of wrongs. When the heroes of faith are hailed in Hebrews 11 their sinful deeds are strangely absent. Moses the murderer and Rahab the prostitute are praised for their faith, not rebuked for their sins. Yes there is freedom and reconciliation in confessing our shortcomings to one another (Jas 5:16). But there is no need for the Christian to keep on confessing sins to...

REFUSE TO CONFESS YOUR SINS & YOU WILL BE BURN IN HELL BECAUSE GOD WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU.

Apparently, some guys with PhD are saying so, and they backed their claims with 1John 1:1-10. "Yes! Albright, Those PhD guys are right". Don't be a joke, study your bible, don't just read it. Stop swallowing everything that you hear those PhD guys say from the pulpit. I don't have time to waste so let me make my point clear and leave you to go and study on your own. I want to start by saying that going to church doesn’t make someone a Christian and in the New Testament churches, there were plenty of people who were not saved. I’m talking of the “ false brothers who infiltrated our ranks” (Gal 2:4) and the false teachers, false apostles, and false prophets who seemed to follow Peter and Paul everywhere they went. Understand that the early church was a place of harmony and accord. In reality those churches were fractious battlegrounds between Christians, Pharisees, Judaizers, and outright crooks. ( please take note) If you carefully study the middle chapter...
