DOES THE BELIEVER HAVE TO FAST?. PARR 2

After some believers read the first part of this study, they jumped into conclusion that, "Albright is also against fasting". Am not! what I'm against is, telling people to starve themselves in the name of fasting. "Albright, what are you saying?" What I'm saying is that, there is a better way to fast and pray and that, it's not about starving yourself and repeating some religious words over and over again for a fixed number of hours or days. What Fasting Is Not. For many years we have been taught by religion that fasting is living on an empty stomach and saying empty religious prayers. "The longer we starve ourselves and repeat words over and over again, the more we receive power from God". What a lie? See how religion has bewitched Christians lead many of them to an early grave. Religion says fasting is about avoiding food; staying on empty stomach as if God needs your empty stomach for some business. I know many Christians who develo...

DOES THE BELIEVER HAVE TO FAST?

For sometimes now many believers have being asking me these questions: "Does the believer have to fast"? "What is your view on fasting?", "Must we fast in this dispensation?" . These people want to know if fasting is a thing of the old or its for the new. I like good questions and these are good questions. They remind me of an argument between Kofi and Ama on Facebook: Kofi: Believers are not suppose to fast Ama: Believers must fast. Kofi: Fast for what reason? Don't you know fasting is an old testament practice? Ama: You are a big lier. Jesus says we should pray and fast. Kofi: see you, what do you know about the Bible? You are a baby, you don't study the Bible well. Jesus didn't tell us anything like that. He told his disciples to do so, and that was before the cross. We are after the cross so that has nothing to do with us. Ama: see you, stop deceiving yourself. The believer have to fast. Kofi: ok If you want to fast then go and joi...

UNDERSTANDING SPIRITUAL WARFARE - PART 1

For the devil to keep believers tired, weak, defeated and unproductive, all he has to do is to blind them from seeing and knowing the truth- the weapon of their warfare. You wouldn't believe it if I tell you this is exactly what the devil has being doing since the time of Adam. In fact the devil is a professor when it comes to blinding Christians and engaging them in useless and unproductive extra-Biblical activities. "Albright, what are you talking about? I've not yet started, am about to. It's about spiritual warfare. In this series I want to touch on spiritual warfare. Is there anything called spiritual warfare? If there is, what is it and what is it not? How can we war in the spirit? These and many others we will be looking at in this series. "Alright Albright, what then is spiritual warfare?" Spiritual warfare is simply a way of frustrating the lies of the devil in order to established oneself in the truth- which is God's will for all believers. ...

CAN I GO ON SINNING BECAUSE OF GRACE?

This is a question young men and women asked me on daily basis. And the best answer I always give them is NO! Hear me out,  It is true that grace brings freedom and that includes the freedom to make poor choices, but if you use your freedom to enslave yourself to sin, then you have missed the point of grace: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Gal 5:1) The purpose of grace is to liberate the prisoner and give life to the dead. Grace is also good news for the poor (Luk 4:18-19). So if you use grace to enslave or impoverish yourself by making dumb decisions and indulging the flesh, you are setting aside grace. You are not using it for its intended purpose. Grace liberates, but if you use your freedom to enslave yourself, what was the point? You are no better off than when you started. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more a...

GOD IS NOT IN CONTROL, YOU ARE.

I have heard people say “God is in control. It’s his fault, not my fault.” Understand that I didn’t write this to condemn any one – we’re all learning here – but to make you know that you are in control and to make you angry at Satan’s lies. JESUSE said, "I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven ( He already did): and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Verily I say unto you, what things soever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and what things soever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." ( Matt 16: 19, 18:18) So, you see? Everything lies in your hands. God has no say if you have no say. Whatever you bind, He binds. If you fail  to take charge of the affairs of your life and to put things in order, God will not come down to do it for. Understand that you are the commander and whatever you command i...
